Holy Trinity Church, Kirkby Road, Ripon, HG4 2EY, North Yorkshire
Holy Trinity Church and Projects Delivering Hope are delighted to announce: ‘An evening with Philippa Hanna’. Philippa will be performing live at a concert to promote the work of registered charity Projects Delivering Hope, supporting the people of Kajo Keji in South Sudan, and refugees in neighbouring countries.

With her unique mix of Gospel, Pop and Country music styles, Philippa is well known and loved at Christian summer festivals across the country as well as on the secular music scene. Loved by adults, children and young people, her concerts are always a sell-out, so we recommend booking tickets soon.

CEO of Projects Delivering Hope Andrew Robertson said: “We are really looking forward to jointly hosting this concert with Holy Trinity Church and to welcoming Philippa Hanna to the stage. The message of hope that she conveys through her songs is vitally important in the world today and we’re sure it will be an amazing evening”.

ABOUT PHILIPPA

At concerts, Philippa openly shares her teenage battle with anxiety and depression which eventually forced her out of full-time education. ‘That was the darkest time imaginable.’ Says Philippa, ‘I thought I’d never live a normal life.’ Thanks to a spiritual encounter at a Godfrey Birtill concert in 2004, Philippa found what she describes as her ‘life-changing faith’ and set about sharing her journey in both literary and music form. Philippa is now an internationally published author with over 1500 live shows, two books and five studio albums to her credit. She leads worship in a Bradford church and regularly features on Songs of Praise.

ABOUT KAJO-KEJI CHRISTIAN COLLEGE

Holy Trinity Church Ripon has partnered for several years with Kajo-Keji Christian College, which trains Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers in the war-torn country of South Sudan. It struggles to survive financially yet has a vital role in supplying church leaders who can minister amongst a people who have suffered exile and trauma for the past 50 years. All the monies raised will support a brick-making project to generate income to help the self-sustainability of the College. A symbol of the importance of “building community”, restoring hope and empowering faith.
